Teaching: A Whole Planet on its Own

Teaching is not only about helping others learn and educate them. Teaching is a whole planet on its own. It has mountains with very sloppy hills, it has oceans, rivers and lakes. Moreover, in teaching you will also encounter volcanoes and a huge number of disasters. But on the bright side, you will get to see the rainbow after a long stormy night. You just have to be patient and love what you do. Moreover, as a teacher you need to emphasize the importance of purposeful learning, the importance of motivational learning and the importance of meaningful learning. Therefore, use principles that will have an everlasting effect on the learners’ lives. Always use a variety of pedagogical methods about teaching and learning. First, before introducing any new topic, make sure you elicit your students’ preexisting knowledge and beliefs. Students do not come into our classrooms as blank slates; rather, they have a lot of ideas that shape how they make sense of new information and construct new knowledge. Therefore, uncover your students’ prior knowledge in order to help them become aware of their own ideas, and in turn, build upon and refine them during the learning process. In this manner, the material will be connected to their lives making it meaningful and important for them. This in turn will inspire and motivate them to learn something they will remember forever. If you manage to do so, then you will reach a beautiful place in Planet Teaching. Remember love what you do and automatically you will enjoy it.

Indeed. Teaching is a very long journey that needs lots of patience and determination. It's always about commitment and about a strong belief that teaching will cause a change in the community and most importantly in every new generation - even when results come later.
Loved the poetic element here! :)
